![]() Tl dr: Bought an iPhone SE (2020) from Gazelle, it was blacklisted, my carrier blocked my SIM card, had to fight with both Gazelle and my carrier to fix everything. ![]() Both companies were just pointing fingers. Of course they said it was Gazelle’s fault. ![]() I won’t be buying from Gazelle again.Īfter being on the phone with my carrier for over 2 hours, they were finally able to remove the block from my SIM card so I could use my old phone again. Therefore, I would wager that they have a lot of blacklisted phones in their inventory. The rep didn’t even seem to care, they just got right into the refund process like it’s normal for them. That means they had no way to verify if it was a dud or not. I asked the Gazelle rep, how could this happen, don’t you check for this!? And they straight up told me it was showing clean when they checked it before the sale, but it was tripped when I put my SIM card in. Luckily I could use another phone to call Gazelle, where they told me that the phone was showing it had pending payments, meaning the person before me had bought the phone on contract, didn’t pay it all off, then sold it to Gazelle. My carrier had blocked my SIM card just from being in this shitty Gazelle phone. Therefore, I am unable to login and pay my fee nor check how much bill is unpaid. The contract is already cancelled a few years ago, and I dont have an at&t phone number nor an account. Ive requested it online but it said I have unpaid balance. ![]() I want to unlock the sim lock of my Samsung s8 device. To add insult to injury, when I tried to put my SIM back in my old phone, the service was STILL blocked. Sim lock, unpaid balance in a cancelled account. I purchased a used iPhone SE (2020) from them recently and while it seemed find at first, the next day my carrier said that my network/service was blocked. Hi iPhone fans, just wanted to share a cautionary tale about as I just went through a really shitty experience with them. ![]()
